Ulf Jondelius
Professor – Swedish Museum of Natural History
My research interests are animal evolution and phylogeny and the diversity of marine microscopic invertebrates. In recent years I have focused on the worms in the groups Acoela and Nemertodermatida studying their position in the metazoan phylogeny as well as their taxonomy and biogeography using molecular phylogenetics, confocal microscopy and traditional histological techniques. As these animals need to be studied in vivo, I spend a few weeks every year at various marine biological labs.
